What is Lake Manly?
Lake Manly is a lake that only exists when it’s cold and wet enough for Death Valley to fill with water. That might have started happening about 14 million years ago when the valley started to form.
We’ve visited Death Valley many times over several decades. I had seen the old shoreline marks of the lake at the south end of the valley. I bought the domain name in 2015. I started to make a website in the summer of 2020. My intent is to create some pages about Death Valley and Lake Manly. However, I think Lake Manly is a good metaphor for looking past immediate appearances. Most of the content may be articles about topics of interest from a biologist’s perspective.
